We had a talk at karate class tonight about odd things that happen when you study Karate and out came the story telling with the anecdotes and all.
Apparently I got spotted riding into class on my bike holding my bo staff, apparently someone saw me trying to play poke polo with garbage that was blowing across the road (and rather successfully hitting it) Aparently the humourous part of it was my first name is Lance. To clarify all stories, my wife is NOT a battle axe.
We also play a game in class, where you stand in a fighting stance and your partner throws a tennis ball at you, which you catch inwardly with your lead hand and throw it back, the other person repeats and it goes back and forth until someone looses control of the ball. (Thinking of Using a small bean bag that weighs a bit more than the ball and does not bounce as much)
I taught one of my students a magic trick whereby he ties his shoes by flopping the laces around using Kicks, after about a half dozen kicks he has a nicely tied shoe lace. People were in shock after seeing it (of course it was billed as an illusion and not a skill)
