Does anyone know of the side effects of the iron palms and or iron arts out there.
Any long term or even short term damage that could be done with and with out supervision? Does "dit da jow" or buise liniments really work?
If so.. any recommendations?
Is it worth adding in an iron art routine?
traditional ... ie hard karate style
or non traditional more spritual such as chi mediation or visualization
A combo of both?
NEways thanks

Hi!

First of all, what do you want it for? Do you want ot do demosntrations of destroying stuff with your natural weapons?

Anyway, there are several conditioning methods that really deform your hands so be careful. Anything that hurts bad after training is a good indicator...

Also, banging handswords against stuff can impact your little finger and deform the joint... just look at the hands of anyone that will teach you or has used a prescribed method...

If their hands look deformed, then you know what to expect.

If you notice still functioning, agile fingers and hands, then that's the way to go.

In regadrs to dit da jow there are 2 approaches.

1. The secret is in the massaging, so it doesn't really matter.

2. You can experiment the medicines to see which has an effect on you. I know of several substances that work real well for me.

Also, my wall bags are not canvas or hard cloth.. they're leather, so I don't get calloused cuts on my knuckles... and I get thye stimulation to my bones to get denser... not deformed and broken...

There's a lot more on this, (and many other bodyparts to condition) so ask if interested.

sincerely,

Juan M. Mercado

Typo. Although it's a cool name for a herbal mixture!

THe thing is that progressive impact on the bones stimulates denser structure building of the bones.

For shins, as the Thai boxers do, is just hitting the heavy bag a lot of times...

You don't really need trees or hitting yourself with sticks or anything...

Just hit the heavy bag a lot.

and notice too that proper weapon formation is key to avoid injury to you and maximizing injuty to the opponent.

Also, the wall bag for me has been the greatest of helps for breaking, since it helps develop incredible power at the last moments of extension through the target (the wall doesn't move... but I think your opponent will if you hit with that strength!!).

I can elaborate more later if you want... gotta go for now.

Sincerely,

Juan M. Mercado

P.S. as RWL said, many mixtures are made to make the hand leathery... and that is no good in my book.

I would use something else that is not alcohol based,k as I do, that is specifically made for joint and bone health.
