Thank you so much for making this information available to the Kenpo community. I definately see the value that this adds and how it will not only propel the study of Kenpo to higher dimensions, but my personal growth as well. Though I'm sure that there are some narrow-minded, CroMagnon, DNA deficient martial artists that will scoff at this and say, "The only way to study is to train (fight, spar, etc)," the true Kenpoists knows that this is what Master Parker had in mind.

As expressed by Ed Parker, Sr. himself in the introduction to the "Encylopedia of Kenpo"...

"As I dissected motion, I reaffirmed my belief that logic was the key ingredient influencing consistent and organized methods of study. Through structuring my work like medical and other SCIENTIFIC disciplines, I achieved greater clarity, and the abilty to continually modify and update my newly discovered concepts, theories, and principles." --Grand Master Ed Parker, Sr.

You seem to be the only Kenpo instructor following in Ed Parker's footsteps which will lead the Kenpo community to a greater understanding of our Art.

Thank you for your leadership and dedication to the Art.

One question, will you give a few examples of how I can apply this to improving my personal training as a fighter?

Thank you,

Thank you for your kinds words D77.

One question, will you give a few examples of how I can apply this to improving my personal training as a fighter?
In each case, when a new concept is introduced on our Physics of the Martial Arts DVD Series, we give the concept, show a demonstration and give an application of how it applies to the martial arts. From there you can use the information for your personal fighting style. Also, each week we are posting a new analysis of techniques, and applications in our Kenpo Notes (http://arnis.org/downloads/kenpo_notes.htm) section of the free downloads. These will expand greatly on how you can futher apply physics to enhance you applications to the martial arts.

Even though many of the concepts in the study are already familiar to me, I really enjoyed the lectures. The second DVD was particularly informative and exciting. Oops...I had to go to class today and re-teach the principles behind Delayed Sword! I promise to never ever use the word torque...cross my heart...
Thanks again!
P.S. Good to see William being a compliant and attentive partner!!!

Mr. Lamkin,

After reviewing the DVD's on Physics I would like to add my thank you to the list of others. This work should be hailed as great. This level of "Su DoKu" (reference to the puzzle game) shows that it was worked out in great detail.

People excel under good leadership, certainly your innovation, knowledge and experience will set the example of excellence.

With thanks,

-Lance C
