On July 6, 2005 the following promotions were made:
Kevin Lamkin - Shichidan (7th Degree Black Belt) - promoted by Al Tracy
Gary Avery - Rokudan (6th Degree Black Belt) - promoted by Al Tracy
Eric Lamkin - Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) - Promoted by Al Tracy
For historical purposes, Gary was the primary instructor to Kevin Lamkin and promoted Kevin Lamkin to Shodan in 1979. Gary Avery has and continues to train high quality martial artists.
Kevin Lamkin and Eric Lamkin are the only high level black belts in both the American Kenpo and Tracy's Kenpo Systems.
Kevin Lamkin is 7th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo and Tracy's Kenpo,
Eric Lamkin is 7th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo and 5th Degree Black Belt in Tracy's Kenpo.
The key characteristic to obtaining rank with Gary Avery, Kevin or Eric Lamkin is, you must train hard!
